About Indian Society for Buffalo Development​

The Indian Society for Buffalo Development (ISBD), established in 1987 and registered in Haryana, is dedicated to advancing buffalo production and welfare. With 770 life members and 28 benefactor members, ISBD brings together scientists, veterinarians, farmers, and entrepreneurs to improve buffalo productivity. The society serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, organizing scientific meetings, national seminars, and international events to foster innovation.

ISBD has organized key global conferences, including the 2nd World Buffalo Congress (1988) and the IXth Asian Buffalo Congress (2018). It also partners with renowned organizations like the International Buffalo Federation and the Asian Buffalo Association. Through these efforts, ISBD leads initiatives for sustainable solutions in the buffalo industry, both nationally and internationally.
